Israel – The Land of Milk and Honey
All MY HONEY products hail from the state of Israel: a small country with a large range of flora and fauna. In biblical times, it was known as the “Land of Milk and Honey.” Israel is “the land flowing with milk and honey,” as mentioned 18 times in the Old Testament. The land is divided into diverse climatic regions, from the cool hills of the Galilee in the north, to the arid sun-parched deserts in the south, and the beautiful Mediterranean coastline.
No one can deny, Israel has been transformed from a piece of arid desert into some of the finest agricultural lands and farms on earth. Israel is now a major exporter of fresh produce and a world-leader in agricultural technologies despite the fact that the geography of Israel is not naturally conducive to agriculture. Today, Israel produces 95% of its own food requirements. Truly, it has begun living up to its name as a land flowing with milk and honey.
